Dina has prior work experience in the legal field and in public interest sectors, where she learned and developed strong research, writing, and client-advocacy skills. Her prior experience includes time with Founder and Senior Managing Director of CAT Investigators, Afia Sengupta. In that role, she had conducted client intake and dealt with a plethora of evidentiary matters.
Prior to joining CAT Investigators, Dina devoted much of her professional and academic career to research, advocacy, and issues involving juvenile rights and education. She has conducted both independent and guided research on a large range of topics. These topics include but are not limited to: education law, disability law, labor law, movement lawyering, juvenile defense, criminal law, First Amendment rights, immigration, race and gender equity, international law, and much more. This diverse perspective informs her approach to investigations, allowing her to examine complex matters with both legal and contextual awareness while identifying the broader factors that may influence individuals, institutions, and organizations. Her legal education further developed her ability to analyze evidence, evaluate competing claims, conduct thorough research, and approach sensitive matters with discretion and objectivity.
